Sync a Google Drive Folder

Add Drive files and folders, follow their sync in one table, and choose what to do when a file looks like an existing document.

For admins and owners bringing Google Drive content into their workspace. Connect Google Drive first, then choose the files and folders you want to sync.

Add a folder and follow its files in the same table. Adding your selection saves it and starts syncing automatically. You can review skipped files and decide whether to replace an existing document, keep both, or ignore the skipped file.

1

Open Google Drive

Open Add, choose Sync from an app, and select your Google Drive connection.

2

Add from Google Drive

Choose Add from Google Drive and pick files or folders. Once you add the selection, it is saved and syncing starts. There is no separate Save step. Use View activity in the confirmation to follow the run.

3

Follow the files in one table

Expand a selected folder to see its files and their sync status. A skipped file remains visible even when it has not been added to the Library. Review files that need a decision directly in the table, or open the sync run in the Activity tray.

4

Check updates or remove a selection

Use Sync Now to check for updates manually. Removing a file or folder from the sync selection saves immediately. Documents already in your Library stay there; removing a selection does not delete them.

A file that looks like a new version of an existing document needs your decision. Other files continue syncing while you choose. The same actions appear on the file row and in the Activity tray.

ReplaceMake the Drive file the current version of the existing document. Confirm the replacement first. The old version stays in version history, and future edits in Google Drive update this document.
Keep bothBring in the Drive file as a separate document and keep the existing document.
IgnoreDismiss this decision without importing the skipped file. The skip remains in the activity record.
Some skips need no action: Already up to date means nothing changed. Identical content means there is nothing new to add. Deleted in Google Drive reports a source deletion. These informational results do not need a collision decision; review the reason shown on the row. The Needs Attention alert clears when the run's collision decisions have been resolved or ignored.
Pro Tip: Start with one focused folder and review its first sync before adding more. If a file needs a decision, compare its title with the existing document before choosing Replace or Keep both.

Once the sync finishes, open the Library to read and search the imported documents. Future syncs check your saved selections for updates.
