Using the Library Preview Panel

Preview documents inline without leaving the Library. Browse with arrow keys, scan images quickly, and preview uploads before processing.

This guide is for anyone who uses the Library to browse, review, or manage documents. The preview panel lets you scan through documents without navigating away from the list, making it especially useful for reviewing recent uploads or working through image-heavy collections.

By the end of this guide, you will know how to open the preview panel, click documents to preview them inline, use keyboard shortcuts to browse quickly, and take advantage of image previews both in the Library and during upload.

1

Navigate to Library

Navigate to Library.

2

Find the Panel Toggle

Look for the panel icon (PanelRight) in the toolbar above the document table.

3

Open the Preview Panel

Click the icon to open the preview panel. Click it again to close the panel and return to the full-width table view.

The preview panel changes how single-clicking a document row works. The behavior depends on whether the panel is open or closed.

Panel OpenClicking a document row loads its preview in the side panel. You stay on the Library page and can quickly click through multiple documents.
Panel ClosedClicking a document row navigates you to the full document detail page, just like before.

When the preview panel is open, you can use the keyboard to move through documents without clicking each row.

Down ArrowMove to the next document in the list. The preview panel updates immediately.
Up ArrowMove to the previous document in the list. The preview panel updates immediately.

This lets you scan through an entire page of documents in seconds. Combined with the preview panel, you can review content at a glance without opening each document individually.

In the LibraryWhen you preview an image document (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, SVG), the preview panel displays the image directly alongside metadata, entities, and other details.
During UploadWhen you upload image files, a thumbnail preview appears in the upload queue. This lets you confirm you selected the correct images before they are processed. The preview is generated locally from the file on your device.
Pro Tip: The preview panel remembers your selection. If you toggle it closed and reopen it, the last document you previewed will still be selected. This is handy when you need to temporarily see the full-width table and then return to previewing.

Now that you know how to preview documents inline, try combining the preview panel with search filters and sorting to build a fast review workflow. For more advanced techniques, check out the Advanced Search guide.
