This guide is for members and managers who need knowledge that does not exist in the platform yet. You will learn how to submit a resource request, track its progress through the review process, and provide feedback once the resource is delivered.
Want to see how admins handle your request on the other side? Read the Handling Resource Requests (Admin View) guide.
Start a New Request
Click the New Request button to open the request wizard.
Describe What You Need
Be as specific as possible. Clear requests get better results. Enter a clear title for your request, then describe the topic, the format you need, and why this knowledge is important. The more detail you provide, the better the result will be.
Help Prioritize Your Request
Add metadata to help admins understand and prioritize your request. Choose the format you prefer (document, FAQ, quick reference, or video), set the urgency level so admins know how time-sensitive it is, and optionally tag a department if the request is specific to a team.
Review Pre-Submit Matching
Before you submit, the system checks for resources that might already answer your question. Review similar existing resources that the system surfaces. Your answer might already exist. Also check for similar pending requests from other team members. If someone already asked for the same thing, you can follow their request instead.
Submit Your Request
If no existing resource meets your needs, click Submit Request. Your request is now in the queue for admin review.
Track Your Request Status
Return to the Requests page to see your request's current status. Your request moves through: Pending → Reviewing → Approved → Completed (or Rejected with an explanation).
Get Notified
You will receive notifications when your request's status changes. Look for the notification badge in the header to stay updated without manually checking.
View the Completed Resource
Once your request is completed, click View Resource on your completed request to see what was created.
Rate and Provide Feedback
Help your admins improve by rating the delivered resource. Rate the resource from 1 to 5 stars based on how well it met your needs, and optionally add comments explaining what was helpful or what could be improved.
