You can connect an outside AI assistant, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, or Cursor, to your organization's knowledge in Simply Asking. Once connected, the assistant can ask questions of your knowledge on your behalf and get back the same grounded answers you would get in the app. Answers come only from your own documents, records, and confirmed business facts. They are never filled in from the assistant's general knowledge.
Connecting takes a minute. You add Simply Asking as a custom connector, sign in with your normal Simply Asking account, and approve the access request.
Add the connector
In your assistant's settings, add a custom connector and paste the Simply Asking server address. If you do not have the address, contact your workspace owner or Simply Asking support.
A Simply Asking sign-in page opens. Use the same email and password you use in the app. Your access is tied to your own account, so the assistant inherits your permissions.
Approve access
A consent screen lists what the assistant is asking for. Approve it to finish. The assistant can now ask questions of your knowledge.
