Automatic Renewal Notice
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You will be charged the then-current rate. We will send renewal reminders for annual plans and notify you at least 30 days before any price increases. To avoid charges, cancel before your renewal date.
1. Cancellation
How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
- Log in to your Simply Asking account
- Go to Account Settings → Billing
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm your cancellation
You can also email support@simplyasking.io to request cancellation.
What Happens After Cancellation
- Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period
- You retain full access to all features until that date
- No further charges will be made after cancellation
- Your data is retained for 30 days after expiration (then deleted per our Data Retention Policy)
- You can reactivate at any time by subscribing again
2. Refund Policy
14-Day Money-Back Guarantee
New subscribers are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of their initial purchase. This applies to:
- First-time subscriptions only
- Both monthly and annual plans
- Upgrades from free to paid plans
- Agent and tablet subscriptions (same terms as seat subscriptions)
To request a refund, email support@simplyasking.io with your account email and reason for the refund.
Annual Plan Refunds
For annual subscriptions:
- First 14 days: Full refund
- Days 15-30: Pro-rated refund for unused months
- After 30 days: No refund (access continues until period ends)
Monthly Plan Refunds
For monthly subscriptions:
- First 14 days (new subscribers): Full refund
- After 14 days: No refund, but no further charges after cancellation
3. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds:
- Metered usage charges (voice minute overage, AI Agent message overage)
- Renewal charges (applies to ongoing subscriptions)
- Accounts terminated for Terms of Service violations
- Partial month usage after the refund period
- Self-hosted deployments (governed by separate agreement)
4. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed as follows:

Refunds are returned to the original payment method. You'll receive an email confirmation when your refund is processed.
5. Free Trial
We offer a 7-day free trial for new subscriptions. A valid payment method is required to start the trial.

6. Plan & Subscription Changes
All subscription changes on team plans are self-service through your billing settings.
Adding Seats, Agents, or Tablet Devices
- Adding seats or add-ons takes effect immediately
- You are charged a pro-rated amount for the remainder of the current billing period
- The new seat or add-on is included in your next full billing cycle at its standard rate
- Pro-rated charges appear on the same invoice as your next renewal
Removing Seats, Agents, or Tablet Devices
- Removing seats or add-ons takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- You retain access to the removed seat or add-on until your next renewal date
- No partial refunds are issued for removed seats or add-ons
- Any metered overage charges (voice minutes, AI Agent messages) incurred during the current period are still billed at the end of the billing cycle, even if the associated seat or add-on has been scheduled for removal
Switching Plans
- Personal to Business (or vice versa): Treated as a cancellation and new subscription. The 14-day money-back guarantee applies only if you are a new subscriber
- Changing billing frequency (monthly to annual or vice versa): Takes effect at the next renewal. Annual billing includes a 20% discount
7. Billing Disputes
If you believe you were charged in error:
- Contact us at support@simplyasking.io within 60 days
- Include your account email and transaction details
- We'll investigate and respond within 5 business days
- If we made an error, we'll issue a full refund
Before filing a chargeback with your bank, please contact us. We can usually resolve issues faster and chargebacks may result in account suspension.
