Single source of truth.

A single, authoritative place where the current answer to any question lives. Eliminates the "we have five different versions of this and I don't know which is right" problem that every multi-team company eventually hits.

The phrase gets used a lot. Most products that claim to BE one require you to manually move everything into them first. A real single source of truth meets your knowledge where it already lives. It doesn't ask you to relocate.

What this looks like in practice

Why "consolidate everything into one tool" usually fails.

The promise of "move all your knowledge into Tool X" assumes your team will actually do that. They won't. People work where they work. Trying to force consolidation creates a parallel knowledge base that competes with the originals instead of replacing them. Now you have one more place to maintain, not one less.

What single source of truth actually requires.

Not a single tool. A single LAYER on top of all your tools, that reads from each, resolves conflicts, surfaces the most recent or most authoritative version, and tells you when sources disagree. The truth doesn't have to live in one place. It just has to be REACHABLE from one place.

The version-of-truth problem.

Even with one tool, two documents can contradict each other. Three customers can have three different stories. Last quarter's policy can conflict with this quarter's. The hard part isn't picking which tool to use, it's resolving which version actually applies to the question being asked right now.

Reachable from one place. Not relocated to one place.

Simply Asking becomes your single source of truth without moving anything. We connect to your existing tools, resolve which version is current, and surface the right answer with its source. The brain knows where everything lives, so your team doesn't have to.

Bring your knowledge.Simply ask.
