Decisions

One place for everything waiting on an answer, and a permanent record of what you decided

Running a business means answering things. Approve this, pick one of these two, confirm that. Those questions usually arrive by email, by message, and in five different screens, and the answer lives in whoever happened to be in the room.

Decisions gives every one of those questions the same shape and the same home. Requests is what is waiting on you. Decisions is what was already decided. Nothing is ever in both places at once, so there is never a question of which screen is right.

A question with real optionsEvery request carries at least two options, and each one says what choosing it would mean. That is the whole point. A question with one answer is a message, not a decision, so the system will not let somebody send you one.
An answer that lastsWhen you answer, the question, the options, your choice, your note, and the date are written into your library as a permanent record. Chat and search can cite it, so next year nobody has to ask again.
Nothing quietly stuckSnoozing brings a request back on a date you pick. Passing one on sends it to the person who should really answer it. Either way the trail shows what happened and when.
Pro Tip: System Connection. A decision can come from a person, from a chat, from an action item, or from one of the review queues your brain keeps. They all arrive in the same inbox, so the number you see is the real number.
