Agents Overview

AI agents powered by your knowledge system: creation, conversations, escalations, and deployment.

The Agents platform lets you create intelligent chatbots powered by your knowledge system. Agents use the same documents, entity relationships, and graph intelligence that power Search and Ask. Deploy them on your website to answer customer questions around the clock.

Custom AgentsBuild AI assistants with custom personas
GuardrailsSafety rules to keep responses on-topic
Human HandoffEscalate to operators when needed
Pro Tip: Agents use your knowledge graph to answer questions. When they cannot answer, the gap is fed back into Knowledge Health.

AI Agents are customizable chatbots that use your knowledge base to answer questions. Unlike generic AI, your agents are grounded in your actual documents. they only respond based on information you've uploaded.

Natural ConversationUsers chat naturally. The agent understands context, follow-up questions, and provides helpful responses.
Knowledge-Grounded AnswersResponses are sourced from your documents with citations. No hallucinations about topics outside your knowledge base.
Configurable GuardrailsBlock sensitive topics, deflect off-topic questions, or escalate to humans based on your rules.
Smart EscalationWhen confidence is low or guardrails trigger, conversations automatically escalate to your team.

The Agents dashboard shows metrics across all your agents.

LLM Provider API KeyYou need an API key from OpenAI (for ChatGPT) or Google (for Gemini). This is a "bring your own key" model, so you pay the provider directly for API usage.
Business OrganizationAI Agents require a Business organization. Personal accounts don't have access to the Agents platform. Upgrade to Business
Admin or Owner RoleOnly Admins and Owners can create and configure agents. Team members can be assigned as Operators to handle escalations.
Pro Tip: Tip: Make sure you have documents in your Library before creating an agent. Agents are only as good as the knowledge base they're grounded in.
